German FinTech practice group finds global recognition

The Chambers "FinTech 2020" Guide recommends Osborne Clarke as a leading law firm in the field of FinTech, both in Germany and worldwide. Other renowned law firms were left behind.

The “FinTech 2020”-Guide published by Chambers and Partners has listed OC as one of the leading law firms in the field of FinTech both in Germany and worldwide. In this ranking, well-known competitors were beaten by an “international perspective and solution-oriented approaches”, which enabled OC to achieve global resonance, particularly through key mandates such as Wirecard and Citigroup.

Osborne Clarke combines its well-recognised competencies in financing, IT and technology to provide its clients with dependable and solution-driven advice. The firm is known in particular for representing entities in the payments ecosystem in financing rounds, and assisting clients from the financial sector in a range of digitalisation projects.” This expertise led to a listing in tier 2 in the German ranking.

Furthermore, Kate Johnson (London) and Tanja Aschenbeck (Cologne) are explicitly listed as notable practitioners and key contacts for the respective national (UK and Germany) and international FinTech market.

The recommendation is based on several months of research, which included interviews with world leading innovators and experts in the field of FinTech. A total of 841 law firms from 37 jurisdictions were considered, which makes us regarding the listing as top law firm even more proud!

This achievement must now be confirmed with a view to the new year!
